Nominate a leader

Entries and nominations are now being accepted for NZICA’s Leadership Awards 2012, the most prestigious annual event on the NZICA calendar.

The Leadership Awards are a great way to differentiate yourself in a crowded market, gain valuable profile for yourself and your organisation, build your reputation within the profession and the wider business community, and be recognised as the best in your field.  Whether you put yourself forward or tap someone on the shoulder – the benefits are extensive.

The Crombie Lockwood 2012 Chartered Accountant of the Year Award recognises the outstanding leadership and achievements of the country’s top professional accountant. This individual has demonstrated effective leadership and contributed to the success of their employing organisation, clients or the accounting profession.

The Westpac 2012 Outstanding New Member of the Year Award recognises a member who has achieved significant success in their career in the short time since joining the accounting profession.

The American Express 2012 Outstanding Service to the Profession Award recognises a member who has provided outstanding service to the profession over their entire career.

The Ernst and Young 2012 Public sector CFO of the Year Award recognises someone who has effectively demonstrated financial management leadership and added value to their public sector employer. This award reflects an increased focus on public sector accountants.

The Annual Report Awards recognises best practice in annual reporting. These awards are open to every New Zealand organisation that produces as annual report. There are four categories:

  • Best Annual Report by a Corporate Organisation
  • Best Annual Report by a Public Sector Organisation
  • Best Annual Report by a Not-for-Profit Organisation
  • Best Sustainability Reporting
