Types of membership: Accounting Technician

The following is an overview of the requirements for becoming an Accounting Technician.

As an Accounting Technician, you'll typically work in areas of accounting and finance. As a key support to Chartered Accountants, you'll apply accounting systems, processes and analyse information vital to decision-making.

To become an Accounting Technician, you'll need to complete:

  • academic study
  • a practical experience programme
  • the new Chartered Accountants Program or Foundations PAS/PCE.
