Information for academics
The new Chartered Accountants Program will provide you with more academic freedom as we will reduce the prescriptions for the required topics from 2013, and there will be no requirement to teach in an applied manner.
Similarly, a shorter tertiary component will be less complex and therefore easier to explain to students, reducing the need for you to provide individualised course advice.
We are working to minimise any disruption for students resulting from these changes. We understand your students will have questions and perhaps some concerns. We have developed transition arrangements for students that your can use to support your students, if required.
When the new Program is launched in 2013, we are confident candidates will experience a rigorous and quality Program, and one that meets the needs of employers into the future.
